Stairway to Heaven . When i lived in Union Bay I hiked the old Esquimalt and Nanaimo railway track. The railway was built by Dunsmuir and got a deal from the government. Sir John A MacDonald came out from Ottawa to drive the last spike. A notorious alcoholic, the wife said no booze. Dunsmuir asked the prime minister to visit the coal mine. They took the shuttle into pit where a table of the finest Scotch whiskey was laid out. Thats why the RR track wanders it is Sir John A. staggering back to Ottawa. my other story is a woman looked at this painting and said thats the stairway to heaven theirs God!!! – Acrylic on Canvas
