Old Barn Gatineau Hills, if old barns could speak, how many farm kids played in the hay loft or a teenagers cavorted with their girl friends. I remember the French farmer was not happy when rearranged his hayloft turning it into a trampoline but the Haus Frau prevailed kids always came first. We got to watch the rabbit being bled and skinned roasted with lots of garlic sunday dinner

Orpheum Granville Street . The venerable Orpheum, now the home of the Vancouver Symphony is typical of turn of the century opera houses with all of the embellishments of a lost artform. When i was a student at UBC I purchased student passes at the Orpheum it was seen as part of our education. Picton, Prince Edward County, I had 3 spinster Great Aunts their husbands and boyfriends killed in the masaquer of the First World War. They worked as secretaries in Toronto and retired in Picton in an old victorian house we visited.
