Vancouver
Brian lived, as a young boy, in Vancouver and the bridges that link the different islands that form the city have always held a great fascination for him. He fondly remembers the old B.C. ferries chugging under the seemingly enormous Lions Gate Bridge to begin his summer vacations in the Comox Valley.
There isn’t a street or back alley that Brian doesn’t know. While completing three university degrees, Brian drove taxi cab in the city for ten years. (Riding with him driving in Vancouver is quite terrifying to this day.) He enjoys exploring Finn Slough in the south end of Richmond. He loves the old fish boats tied up along the banks of the river, coming to a sagging but dignified, end to their careers

The venerable Orpheum, now the home of the Vancouver Symphony is typical of turn of the century opera houses with all of the embellishments of a lost artform.
